Premier League Betting Tips
The International break is now over after England beat Switzerland two goals to nil away from home to England fans delight. The victory almost certainly secures England’s place in the Euro 2016 finals as Switzerland are a decent side compared with the rest of Group E. Anyway we can now turn our attention to the Premier League which is far more entertaining than watching England play as i’m sure you will all agree. Arsenal vs Manchester City will get this weekends football started at the Emirates as we have a great weekend of football in store.
Chelsea v Swansea
After a brilliant start to the season Chelsea are into 1.83 favourites to win the Premier League title this year after their main rivals Manchester City have slipped up early at the Etihad Stadium against Stoke City. Like Chelsea Swansea have had a great start to the season under their new manager Garry Monk who has made some very good additions to the squad including a certain Gylfi Sigurdsson who has scored one goal and assisted four in Swansea’s opening three matches.
In Chelsea’s latest match they were involved in a thrilling 6-3 win over Everton at Goodison Park. Mourinho was far from pleased after his side conceded three goals, I wouldn’t bank on this happening again any time soon.
Diego Costa and Eden Hazard both pulled out of international duty due to injuries however both are expected to be fit enough to start their second home match of the season which is very important for Chelsea despite the signing of Loic Remy.
Liverpool v Aston Villa
Aston Villa are just one of two Premier League teams who Brendan Rodgers is yet to beat at Anfield as the Liverpool manager however you would fully expect Liverpool to get the win this time around as they are the 1.3 favourites to win on Saturday. The odds suggest that it will be a straight forward victory but will it? Villa have had a good start to the season recording two wins and a draw from their opening three matches. Liverpool on the other hand have also had a relatively good start to the season despite losing 3-1 against Manchester City.
Villa have not lost any of their last three visits to Anfield and on each occasions they have played counter attacking football which has worked for Villa so far this season. Paul Lambert has assembled a very good after having a very good transfer window despite not spending alot of money. The pace of Agbonlahor, Weimann and N’zogbia can cause the Liverpool defense all sorts of problems which still looks shaky.
Long term absentees Christian Benteke and Libor Kozak remain injured however they should return in the next few weeks. Ron Vlaar is not 100% fit but when is he? The World Cup star should be fit enough to start on Saturday which is a huge boost to Villa. Liverpool on the other hand have a long injury list after losing Emre Can, Daniel Sturridge and Martin Skrtel to injury during the International break. Losing Sturridge is a big blow for Liverpool who will be relying on Balotelli to score their goals this weekend.
Man United v QPR
Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United have struggled so far this season and are still looking for their first win under the new manager. United have spent a record breaking £150million this Summer in order to secure Champions League football once again. Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Radamel Falcao are all set to make their debuts on Sunday, all of who will inevitably strengthen United’s starting eleven. However it will take these players time to gel and adapt to the English game.
QPR on the other hand have made nine signings of their own, the signings of Sandro, Steven Caulker, and Leroy Fer add some real quality to this squad and will surely secure the target of Premier League survival this season. Harry Redknapp’s side are 12/1 to win at Old Trafford on Sunday which is a big price when you consider United lost on the opening day against Swansea this year and especially when you consider that Man United lost at home on seven occasions last season.
